Getting Started¶
Welcome to the Stratpoint Timesheet Application. This guide will help you get started with using the system for time tracking, project management, and accessing various features available to your role.
Accessing the System¶
Web Application¶
URL: https://timesheet.stratpoint.com
Supported Browsers: - Google Chrome (recommended) - Mozilla Firefox - Microsoft Edge - Safari
System Requirements: - Modern web browser with JavaScript enabled - Stable internet connection - Screen resolution: 1024x768 or higher
Mobile Application¶
Android App: Available for download from the internal app distribution system
Features: - Time entry on-the-go - Offline capability - Push notifications - Biometric authentication
Login Process¶
Single Sign-On (SSO)¶
If your organization uses SSO:
- Navigate to the timesheet application URL
- Click "Login with SSO"
- You'll be redirected to your organization's login page
- Enter your corporate credentials
- You'll be automatically logged into the timesheet system
Local Authentication¶
For direct login:
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Check "Remember me" if using a personal device
- Click "Login"
First-Time Login¶
If this is your first time logging in:
- You may be prompted to change your password
- Review and accept the terms of use
- Complete your profile information
- Familiarize yourself with the dashboard

Basic Time Entry¶
Logging Your First Time Entry¶
- Navigate to Timelogs
- Click "Timelogs" in the main menu

Or use the "Log Time" quick action

Select Date
- Choose the date for your time entry

Default is today's date

Choose Project/Task
- Select from your assigned projects

Or choose a general task type (meetings, training, etc.)

Enter Time Details
- Start time (e.g., 9:00 AM)
- End time (e.g., 5:00 PM)

Or directly enter hours worked

Add Description
- Describe the work performed
- Be specific and professional

Minimum 10 characters required

Additional Information
- Location (office, remote, client site)
- Ticket number (if applicable)

Save Entry
- Click "Save" to store the entry
- Entry will be submitted for approval
Time Entry Best Practices¶
Accurate Time Tracking: - Log time daily for accuracy - Round to the nearest 15 minutes - Include break times appropriately - Be honest and precise
Meaningful Descriptions: - Describe what was accomplished - Include relevant details - Use professional language - Mention key deliverables
Project Categorization: - Select the correct project - Use appropriate task types - Tag entries for easy searching - Follow project-specific guidelines

Approval Hierarchy: - Level 1: Direct supervisor approval - Level 2: Project manager approval (for project work) - Level 3: Department head approval (for special cases)
Approval States: - Draft: Still being edited - Pending: Submitted for approval - Approved: Approved by supervisor - Rejected: Rejected with comments - Closed: Finalized and locked
What Happens After Approval¶
Once your timesheet is approved: - Time is counted toward project budgets - Hours contribute to utilization metrics - Data becomes available for reporting - Billing processes can begin (for client projects)
